Best Apps for iPhone 4

After 1.7 million sales (the largest cell phone launch ever), many users are wondering about which apps will really showcase and show off their new iPhone best (and also wondering why the reception drops when you hold your phone).  We've decided to breakdown a list of some great apps that will show off your new toy.  Some of these you probably know and might have downloaded on your iPhone 3g, but they've all done upgrades to integrate more with the iPhone 4 and the iOS 4.

iMovie  This app lets you make edits, add titles and themes to the HD video that you can capture on your iPhone 4.  Very simple to use and you can export directly to YouTube or your MobileMe account.  Many users seem to be pleased with this application and they are enjoying the simplicity of it.  Pretty amazing how far cell phones have come!

Pandora  Most iPhone users already know about this app and use it - but it was upgraded just last week to incorporate multitasking (the music keeps playing even when you press the home button and start doing email, web browsing, other apps, etc...).  Cool use of the new multitasking feature!

Flight Control  An addicting game that was recently upgraded to support multitasking as well as higher res graphics.  Since the new iPhone has a higher resolution display - some of the apps have pixelated icons and graphics and Flight Control updated to make sure that wasn't a problem.  Shows off your display and lets you take advantage of the multitasking feature.

Twitter  For those of you who use Twitter - this application is the best out there that we've found.  Easy to use, you can handle multiple accounts, easy function of uploading pics and video.  This used to be a $3.99 app called Tweetie - but Twitter acquired the application, did a little rebranding and now gives it away for free!  They've updated the graphics and the multitasking feature to integrate better with the new iOS. Definitely moves A LOT quicker on the iPhone 4.  (PS: you can follow us on Twitter!)

Byline  If you like RSS feeds then we've found the application for you.  Byline offers both a free and paid version of their application (the free version has ads).  This app syncs with Google Reader and can update your article list in the background or whenever you'd like to sync.  The graphics on this app really take advantage of the display on the iPhone 4, and of course it has multitasking.  Does a great job of caching in the background.  Definitely recommend to any iPhone user who likes to be updated with RSS feeds but if you have an iPhone 4 - really moves fast and smooth.

Those are just a few of the applications that we've noticed that take advantage of some of the new features on the iPhone 4.  There are many other features on the new iPhone that haven't been tapped into yet but we expect to see an influx of apps within the next 6 months that really push the new technologies in the phone.  If you have any other suggestions to apps that are great for the iPhone 4 drop us a line!
